“Participating in LIT was such an eye-opening experience for both my personal development and development in every other area of my life. The way that the course is set up really gives you the opportunity to pull the most amount of benefit from it possible. You are given time to be introspective and reflect, time to ask for feedback and perspective from others in your life, time to peer with others in the course, and time to hear and learn from those who are leading the course. As someone who has always felt fairly self-aware, it was so beneficial to be pushed out of my comfort zone to ask for feedback that would challenge me in the best way by those who care. I received so much valuable feedback that I was able to then take and apply to my life to become a better version of myself for myself and for those around me. The honest dialogue that the prompts create are what I valued the most. The vulnerability that was modeled by the Courtney, Allie, and Amanda was inspiring and created a safe space to share honestly and ask deeper questions. I am thankful for the new lens that I now view myself and life through. I was empowered to see myself as a leader and someone that brings value to any and every room that I am in. I was encouraged to use my voice and silence my negative inner dialogue. And I was pushed to put myself in more situations to grow by inviting challenges to grow through and learn from. Outside of work, I felt a shift in my personal life as well. LIT helped break down walls I didn’t even realize I had built, making me more confident in my creativity, more equipped to handle difficult conversations, and more at ease navigating challenges, whether with customers or in my own relationships.

I’ve always been more reserved, someone who followed rather than led, hesitant to speak up because I thought experience was the only thing that made someone "worthy" of a voice. But LIT showed me that leadership isn’t just about a title. I left feeling empowered, knowing that my experiences, my opinions, and my perspective matter.
